Heritage IPA Picadillo

Serving 4 | Prep time 10 mins | Total time 50 mins

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 diced shallot
  • 1 sliced green onion
  • 2 diced garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 450 gm ground chicken
  • 500 ml tomato sauce
  • 2 cups Heritage Brewing Kilometer Cream Ale
  • 1.5 cup beef stock
  • 1 diced jalapeno pepper (if desired, to cut down on heat, remove seeds)
  • 2 large cubed and peeled potatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Pairing Suggestion – Heritage Brewing Norseman NEIPA

Instructions:

  • Heat 1 tbsp olive oil to medium heat in non-stick pan
  • Add 1 diced shallot, 1 sliced green onion, 2 diced garlic cloves. Cook for 3 minutes until tender
  • Add 1 tbsp paprika, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp coriander. Cook until fragrant and spices can be smelled
  • Stir in 450 gm of ground chicken and cook for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally
  • Add 500 ml tomato sauce, 2 cups Heritage Brewing Kilometer Cream Ale, 1.5 cups beef stock, 1 diced jalapeno, and 2 cubed potatoes
  • Stir and simmer for 40 minutes or until potatoes are soft and liquid has reduced by a third. If needed, add more stock to soften potatoes
  • Add salt and pepper to taste
  • Serve with rice or bread and enjoy!
