Tanner & Co Pale Ale Penne 

Prep time 40 mins | Total time 40 mins | Serving 4 

Ingredients:

  • 500 gm dried penne 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 sweet onion diced
  • 2 garlic cloves diced
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 796 gm whole tomatoes
  • ½ cup Tanner & Co Pale Ale
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan  

Pairing Suggestion – Tanner & Co Wild Rye

Instructions:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions
  • Heat skillet to medium and add 1 tbsp olive oil and 3 tbsp butter to melt. Add 1 diced sweet onion and 2 minced garlic cloves and cook 3 - 4 minutes, or until soft
  • Add ½ tsp red pepper flakes, 1 tbsp paprika, 1 tbsp italian seasoning, and 1 tbsp tomato paste. Stir and cook for an additional 3 minutes
  • Add 796 gm whole tomatoes and 1 cup Tanner & Co Pale Ale and cook for an additional 2 minutes
  • Add entire mixture to blender and blend until smooth
  • Return mixture to saucepan and add 1 cup whipping cream and ½ cup Parmesan cheese. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes or until thickened and warm
  • Drain pasta and serve with sauce and additional grated parmesan
  • Enjoy!
