Tanner & Co Pale Ale Penne

Ingredients:
- 500 gm dried penne
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 sweet onion diced
- 2 garlic cloves diced
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 796 gm whole tomatoes
- ½ cup Tanner & Co Pale Ale
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan
Pairing Suggestion – Tanner & Co Wild Rye
Instructions:
- Cook pasta according to package directions
- Heat skillet to medium and add 1 tbsp olive oil and 3 tbsp butter to melt. Add 1 diced sweet onion and 2 minced garlic cloves and cook 3 - 4 minutes, or until soft
- Add ½ tsp red pepper flakes, 1 tbsp paprika, 1 tbsp italian seasoning, and 1 tbsp tomato paste. Stir and cook for an additional 3 minutes
- Add 796 gm whole tomatoes and 1 cup Tanner & Co Pale Ale and cook for an additional 2 minutes
- Add entire mixture to blender and blend until smooth
- Return mixture to saucepan and add 1 cup whipping cream and ½ cup Parmesan cheese. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes or until thickened and warm
- Drain pasta and serve with sauce and additional grated parmesan
- Enjoy!
