FirkinStein Brewing Ginger Root Marinated Crispy Tofu

Prep time 10 mins | Total time 40 mins | Serving 4

Ingredients:

  • 250 gm extra firm tofu
  • 473 ml FirkinStein Ginger Root Ale
  • 1 tbsp Maggi seasoning
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional:
  • Rice
  • Steamed peas
  • Green onions, sliced
Pairing Suggestion – FirkinStein Set Sail IPA

    Instructions:

    • Cut tofu into ¼ inch cubes.
    • In a large bowl, mix 473 ml FirkinStein Ginger Root Ale, 1 tbsp Maggi seasoning, 1 tbsp sesame oil, and 1 tbsp hoisin sauce.
    • Add tofu to mixture and let marinade for up to 40 minutes.
    • Remove tofu from marinade.
    • Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in non stick pan on high.
    • Add tofu and fry on each side for 2 minutes or until golden brown. Continue flipping tofu until brown and crispy all over.
    • Serve with a side of rice, sliced green onions, and steamed peas.
    • Enjoy!
