Uncle Leo’s Smoked Porter Slow Cooker Braised Short Ribs
Serving 4 | Prep time 30 minutes | Total time 24 hours
Ingredients:
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- 3 sprigs rosemary
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 cups Uncle Leo's Smoked Porter
- 1 sweet onion sliced into pucks
- 8 beef short ribs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Pairing Suggestion – Uncle Leo's Irish Red Ale
Instructions:
- Turn slow cooker on high
- Mix 2 cups beef broth, 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 minced garlic clove,1 tsp dijon mustard, 3 sprigs rosemary, 1 tbsp paprika, 1 tbsp tomato paste, 2 cups Uncle Leo’s Smoked Porter into slow cooker
- In a cast iron skillet sear beef short ribs on both sides
- Place onion pucks in bottom of slow cooker
- Put beef ribs into slow cooker on onion pucks
- Season with salt and pepper
- Cook on high for 6 - 8 hours or until beef is tender and falls off bone
- Serve with chives and mashed potatoes
- Enjoy!
