What started as a food truck is now a permanent fixture with indoor and outdoor seating, fire pits, live music, and local craft beer. They make every pizza to order by hand in their wood oven, and it is evident in the taste. These pizzas are as good as you’ll find anywhere throughout the Halifax region. They start with excellent dough, top them with fresh, high quality ingredients, and finish them in their wood burning oven. They are truly Italian.
The Rustic Crust has an excellent outdoor eating area that is inviting and quite spacious. Their capacity is reduced in winter months, but they can also cater to weddings and events as their indoor space is operational all year long for dine-in or take-away. They are unique in their location as they service Tantallon, which is outside of the downtown core.
