The Narrows Public House is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in an 1896 heritage designated venue that has been restored to its original condition. The concept was to create a local inn where community members and visitors alike can come for great local drink, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and hearty yet affordable nostalgic-style meals. This neighbourhood pub was created to reflect the unique community that it represents.

The food itself is familiar. The staff here worked hard to ensure that every meal is representative of time and place. Their dishes are comforting and filling. They carefully picked items and methods that showcase Nova Scotian classics which have been adapted from old maritime cookbooks and generational knowledge.
The staff are also welcoming. They have a keen understanding of the property, the food program, what’s on tap, and what will fill you up. Their purpose is to make guests feel welcomed and to transport them to a time when local pubs were prolific.

The Narrows Public House is like stepping back in time. This heritage property is a marvel to admire and a pub that showcases hospitality. The food is delicious and familiar, the staff is inviting, and the overall atmosphere is willfully pleasant.
